Winning the New War for Retaining & Attracting Talent

The Great Resignation is underway—people are quitting their jobs at record rates. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April 2021 alone, nearly 4 million Americans left their jobs. It’s the most significant number since records began two decades ago, and 24% higher than pre-pandemic numbers.

It’s set to continue. Forty-one percent of employees say they are considering leaving their current employer this year, and 46% say they’re likely to move because they can now work remotely.Further, 42% of employees would quit if their company didn’t offer remote working options long-term.

“Workforce experts are bracing for a whole new set of post-pandemic upheavals, in some instances more transformative than the unplanned move to working from home last March, with some making efforts to avoid prepandemic remote-work mistakes.”
